AI POLICY- ETHICS AND USE

This AI Policy (“Policy”) sets forth the ethics and usage requirements by which Customers, Authorised Users, free-trial users and all other users (“Users”) must abide during their use of the Solution, Evaluation Software and any Third Party Products (“AI Products”). The terms and conditions set forth in this Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect the changing landscape of AI regulations, Third Party Product restrictions and other acceptable use considerations.

Unless otherwise defined herein, all capitalized terms have the meaning given to them in (i) for Customers and Authorized Users, the Lightbulb.ai Master Subscription Agreement or superseding executed customer agreement, or (ii) for trial and other users, either the standard Evaluation Terms of Service or signed Evaluation Agreement, as applicable.

1. Responsible Development and Use

1.1. Responsible development and deployment of AI should include implementation of risk and governance frameworks. Such frameworks should include periodic impact assessments and promote transparency, equity and explainability. We encourage Customers to adopt existing AI ethics principles and frameworks or develop their own to guide their AI lifecycle process.

2. Restricted Activities

  • 2.1. Illegal and Harmful Activities: AI Products must not be utilized for the promotion of violence, terrorism, child sexual exploitation, abuse of any individual or group, or illegal activity. This includes a prohibition on uploading data containing sexually explicit material, content promoting self-harm, and material that incites hate or discrimination based on protected characteristics like race, gender, or religion.
  • 2.2. Fraudulent Practices: AI Products must not be utilized for any fraudulent activities, including generation of malware, phishing scams or other deceptive schemes.
  • 2.3. Violation of Personal Rights: AI Products must not be utilized to violate individuals’ privacy rights, track or monitor individuals in an unauthorized way or otherwise infringe upon individuals’ personal rights.
  • 2.4. Political Campaign and High Risk Government Uses: The use of AI Products in government contexts and political campaigns, including law enforcement, criminal justice, immigration and uses that may influence the outcome of elections, must be employed with a heightened level of ethical consideration and scrutiny as to societal impact.

3. Third Party Product Terms and Restrictions

3.1. If utilizing a Third Party Product, Users are also subject to the specific terms and restrictions regarding use set forth by the applicable third party provider, as though they were utilizing the product or service directly from such provider. Such terms and restrictions include but are not limited to those aggregated below:
